I still have the benefit of going to an Isuzu dealership for service and I saw several of those recalls getting handled. The frame would just rust through. The fix seemed to be alright if the rust wasn't bad yet. If it was bad, they gave them money for the vehicle. I dont remember how much, but I believe the amount was quite nice. Better than private party sale.

My VX has never been in for any service recalls since I have owned it. Ever. Imagine it's due to the fact that my ISUZU dealership closed just after my purchase. A little hard for an empty building to send snail mail. It has since been bought and turned into one of the top Subaru/Hyundai dealerships in this region. No luck there.
