    amp placement

i have searched alot of amp placement threads and it looks like under the seat is the most popular place.but my amp is too big to fit there so i had to figure something else out.

i decided to put it above jack compartment.
first i took some romex wire to get the contour of the panel and traced it on two 2x4's

    a little test fit

painted them black really quick(wont be able to see em anyway)
cut hole in panel/ran the wires

then i took some decking i had layin around and traced the foot print of the amp,cut it out and painted it,mounted it on the "feet"

and the finished project..looks clean enuff.hope this help anyone lookin for a place for there amp.

I like it. Nice and clean. My component amp is about the same size and I've got it sitting right below where yours is in a vertical position right up against the floor. (My sub amp is in the rear door). I'm assuming your rear seats are out for good? Or will they still fit with the way yours is positioned?

Be sure to get your windows tinted, because that amp screams "Steal Me" to a car prowler!!!

How did you attach the wooden "feet" to the interior?

Right on, but in my neck of the woods, I would soon be replacing an amp and a window. Stealth placement is golden.

That amp looks smaller than mine and my Infinity Amp is under my driver's seat. I did have to cut some metal off the seat to make it fit, but it is possible once you take out the foam and carpet under the seat. Check my gallery for pics :-) good luck. That does look like a buffet for a thief right now.
