The kilbys crossmember killed my front ground clearance because I had to drop it the full 2"+ to get the front skid plate to clear the diff. A stock crossmember wouldn't need to be mounted so low & would eliminate the clearance issues.
The Kilbys are stout enough that you could lose the crossmember entirely. Just hafta make some hangers for the Kilbys using the crossmember mounting points & maybe a piece to cover the seam between the plates.
