Cool After the VehiCROSS what ?

For the last couple of weeks my brain has being wondering about what can be a decent replacement whenever is time to give up the VX in the future ?

As far as i concern theres few SUV's that may,i mean may be a good candidate to become my next ride.

I must admit that the hummer H2 is my favorite vehicule, but many sees the H2 as a symbol of personal ego and arrogance and that's not my personality and hate the idea that people could judge me because of it.

My 2nd choice is definately a hot rod so the trailblazer SS & the grand cherokee SRT-8 comes to mind, because the porsche cayenne turbo S is not a option at all ( $$$$$ )

So i took the time to test drive both, the cherokee is a bit faster, but the SS has more room. The SS can be found for cheaper then the SRT-8 but i must admit the cherokee looks way much sporty then the SS but what i hate is the cheap looking interior of both SUV's (IMO)

My 3rd option is a true 4x4 .....jeep wrangler but i can't deny my self,i like the VW Touareg V8,the 2002 BMW X6 with the especial 4.6L 325hp and the 2011 ford edge sport edition with its 305 hp

I haven't test neither of these ones, but sooner then later i will
    Dakar was just the begining.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8 will fall apart if you try to take it off road. Don't even go there unless your p***s is really really tiny. A regular Grand Cherokee is ok as a starting point. I was considering a Wrangler Sahara until I found my VX. BMW X6 (as above) would be fun if you have money burning holes in all your pockets. I would think for all around on and off road capability you will need to find a used Lamborghini LM002

    Or another VX.

Probably a BMW F800GS. I think that's about as much fun to drive.

I'm sorry...I dont seem to understand the "after" part.

    It's Till Death....it dies...or I do.

I had my last "vehi-cooooool" for 18 years...

..the "ORW" will make that look like a mere whim.

I'm with Jo, it's hard to imagine life after the VX. We are looking hard at options in the post-Axiom era since it's a real possibility that the engine is blown (or about to be). Unfortunately the need for cargo room and the wife's demand for good fuel economy are driving us towards a Subaru Outback (which is still a VERY nice car - and it has 8.7" of ground clearance! ) but I'd really like one of these:

You can pick up a loaded 2009 model (first year of the current body style) for a little over $30K. To me the FX35 is the best design and best value in the luxury sport-crossover market.

I'm with Jo on this one. What is "after"??

I've had my '70 Torino for 33 years, my '82 Mustang for 21 years, and my VX for 10 years. It's still my "youngest" vehicle! I think you will be prying it out of my cold, dead fingers. Next? Pffffttt!

Yes. There will be no end. We will cannibalize and already are each others dying VX's. Every time we hear of a death the vultures begin circling.... Hey I may need a PCM anybody got one (moo ha ha ha) you better lock yours up tight. neehehehe.

AFTER!?!?!? There is no after. Atleast as far as I'm concerned. I bought my VX for the long haul. It'll die with me.

I am going to request the federal government begin a registered VX owners list. This way we can track who lives close to us who might be interested in stealing parts off our vehicles in the middle of the night.

Agreed I will not be parting with my VX for any foreseeable reason. I will probably get a second car in a year or two as economical backup. Something sensible like a used Lotus Elise

That F800GS was pretty boring to ride IMO. Triumph dealer has two as service loaners...
