    Wow, my husband's Proton just started doing this yesterday. Good to know what the fix is and that there's a chance the Rodeo part may work. Keep us posted on actually replacing the resistor. If it does fix the issue, then I'll be telling the hubby to get his soldering iron ready.

    Trooper clusters won't work. The printed circuit board on the back of the fuel/temp portion of the cluster is different than that of the VX, and it has 5 posts in which to mount it in the cluster, whereas the VX has 4 posts.
