    My first 4x4

Here is a pic of my first 4x4. It is a 1st gen rav4 I got brand spankin new, before they became stupid little compact SUVs. It actually had 4WD!! I had some 30" Kelly Safari ATs. This pic is on a snow bank in front of Mount Katahdin I think, some big mountain in BFE Maine.
I baja'd that truck when it only had 2000 miles on it...bent the sway bar and a shock. Replaced under warranty. I also drove it into about 5 feet of James River runoff in Fort Eustis, VA, which turns out to be super salty when it evaporates. That was at about 17K miles. They replaced everything under the hood, the interior, and the suspension. Yeah for Allstate!! It never could have an alignment there was so much rust. Good thing it was a lease

It also had permanent clay stains on anything porous, including in the driver's floor from wheeling in Ocala National Forest. Hit a mud hole at 50 and see what happens. That was a good little truck, too bad they are a pansy SUV now.

You really have to appreciate the decals, Toyota Racing and it said Brospeed across the rear window and pillar...lol. Check out the Brospeed tip...looks like a soup can. I miss that truck. I ended up tearing the exhaust off of it wheeling by the airport in Orlando
This pic is from 98 I think.

No, its not lowered, its off camber quite a bit. That yota went more places than my buddies Wrangler, and it pulled a full sized Chevy on big thornbirds out of a snow bank.

I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.

My first 4x4 was a 79 Dodge Power Wagon. It had a 318 & full time 4wd & a 3 speed with granny gear. Sucker would go anywhere. Ahh the memories.

    Cool

My first 4X4 was a '79 Ford Bronco I bought back in like 1990. Had a 6" suspension lift (Rancho I think) installed and bigger tires, dual exhaust w/headers.
