Bart--- Yes, I do own a Valentine-1 (since 1996) and it has saved my butt hundreds (maybe thousands) of dollars in possible fines and higher insurance rates!!! It is worth every single penny and will give you total peace of mind knowing you've got the absolute best defense weapon against traffic cops. It is one of the few products in the world that will actually pay for itself over time and will keep on saving you money. Never, never, settle for a cheaper radar detector that will only let you know you've already been caught by the traffic cop (too little, too late). Only the Valentine-1 gives you the "advance" warning you need in order to quickly react and reduce your speed before entering the radar danger zone area (then just smile as you slowly pass the traffic cop).
