    Even though power is going to the display, it won't illuminate unless it is getting a signal from the camera. Check your wiring to the camera, especially potential crimp points such as where it feeds into the rear door.

    BTW, I learnt the same lesson as you with my Jensen (owned by Audiovox) system in the RV.

    I have an Audiovox in mine.. when my alternator went it blew the camera out and i would just be a black screen, replaced the camera and all was well again

    I have the audiovox rear camera set up in the rear half moon. It goes directly to may LED TV screen. I've not had any problems with it whatsoever. One thing i'd like it to do, though, is to come on when I put the VX in reverse. I think it's a matter of wiring it to the back-up light switch. Right now, i have to manually switch the 'mode' on the TV-DVD tuner but it has always worked fine.
