    Corvette fans

Currently have my eyes on a '94 (C4) Vette here locally that is simply a steal. I have always been a big fan of the styling of the C4 gen over all others (especially the newer ones with the giant ***). The one I am looking at is simply too good to be true. 25k miles, numbers matching, no modifications, 6spd manual, and priced to sell at just under $17k (I have a lower offer that looks like it will stand). The only gripe I have is it is bright canary yellow. I can deal with that soon enough.

I have spoken with a buddy who is a Chevrolet tech and he swears by the C4s, claiming minimal is any issues (except that tranny parts are a pain in the *** to come by and pricey). Any of my fine VX folk have any experience with the C4 gen that care to share some snippets, before I take the plunge?

You mean the Barbie Vette? At least it's a manual but otherwise I'm not a fan of the styling. But if you like the styling that does certainly sound like a great deal.

I have a 2003 C5 that I just love~well, second to the VX I guess!! Sorry I can't offer any advice about the C4 though, I do like the body style! Good luck, sounds like a good deal on the price with that low mileage!

    You'll love this....

I decided against it. Found an '82 (last of the C3) that stole the thunder. Again, great shape, low miles, all original, and only in need of very minor cosmetic work. Same price as the C4 even. I had an '81 waaaaay back when I was in my early 20's that I restored but sadly, could only get state insurance on it, and that would have been $8k, so I sold it. I think it's redemption time.

Really trying hard to get my hands on another Vette as you can see (causes all of the decent '86 Porsche 911s are WAY overpriced!)
