Keep it in drive "3" unless you'll be on a long flat grade@ 65 mph or over. For those periods you can probably go into overdrive "4".
If you've searched the posts you should already know to be cautious with low speed maneuvering. Use caution during high winds. Keep an eye on the gas gauge. Be aware of how to handle a flat tire, particular to the VX.
Bring big lures for big fish.
