Trekker, I do understand what your saying, I used to be a shipping/receiving guy many, many moons ago so I know how much the quality of the packaging affects the condition of the item when it arrives. But, when a package arrives looking like it was dropped from the top of a building then dragged behind the truck on the way to my place.... Yeah, I'd say that was on the shipping company.

    Fed Ex Sux two

Got home today. Had one of those tried to deliver stickers. Had no name on who sent it. Said would try to deliver it tomorrow (no time) do these idiots think we wait around all day for them like it was cable? As a matter of fact my cable guy is coming tomorrow between 10 and 12 Fed Ex cant narrow it down any more than sometime? Had a message on it to log in to check package details. Had an 800 number hidden on the back among contract sized printing. Guy there had no details. Why do companies tell you to contact them for details when they have no details. Why do they have spots on their forms for info and not require Dougie to fill in the info. If they werent union they couldnt get a job

C'mon. Give me a little more reaction than that. It took me an hour to find that stoopid thread (kept getting side tracked reading old threads that popped up).

So there's a knock, but no package or even a delivery notice? Do you live in an apartment complex? Do you have a history of receiving regular deliveries where it's been established that it's ok to leave packages without requiring a confirmation signature?

Just trying to get an idea of your situation since what you are describing is what delivery personnel are told to do by such companies. And if there was no package or delivery notice, how do you know it was a FedEx driver if there was no one to be seen by the time you opened the door?

Not defending FedEx or that particular driver, but something just seems to be missing from the situation you described. My past experience with UPS was only part time, but even in that time I became aware that there were "usual" routines that had been established between drivers and some repeat customers.

Had the same thing happen with the dick in brown Monday eve...

the package was supposed to be dlvrd fr...but for some "emergency beyond ups control" wasn't delivered until Monday pm.

I'm pretty quick when somebody knocks on my door, but I couldn't even detect the scent of whatever delivered the package leaning against my door...which was supposed to require a signature...

Just glad to have the Rambo bayonet for the zombie gun...
