You guys have always had considerably cheaper gas than we do in Canada--where I live, one of the cheaper places I've found, it's sitting at $1.099/L. That works out to about $4.16/gal.
Hiredgoon can you point me to the gas station that you fill up at?
I went to the very last drop of gas left in my tank, hoping that the rediculous gas price(CAN$1.159/USD$4.41) in calgary would have dropped to a normal resonable level. I ended up having to fill up in Canmore at $95.00

Man - you've got cheap gas over there - I'm paying upwards of $160 a tank here, and drinking my coffee black. No more jaunts to the shop for a single item.

I fill in Drumheller, where it's typically around $1.059, but gets as high as $1.159 depending on God only knows what. I suspect that driving that far will negate the money you are saving on fuel. It's worth buying a Costco card to buy gas there though, it's typically 3-5 cents cheaper per litre.

Well, sold my "scoot" a few years ago (not feeling as invulnerable as I did in my halcyon days) so that option is out. However, back in July I purchased a '93 Suzuki Swift (Geo Metro is its rebadged twin) to combat gas prices and ease my commute costs. After working out some minor transmission gremlins its good to go. Searched a while to find one without major front end rust issues and low miles (66,000 on the clock). Upgraded the stereo, added a few interior cosmetic options, some decent custon wheels apprporiated from my recently deceased '83 Dodge Colt and .... VOILA! Instant econ-tin can. Hey! For forty plus miles to the gallon I don't complain.
