im planning on getting a Kawasaki Ninja in june to battle the gas prices or I might go for a honda del sol or something of the type. I dont know what I should go for Ninja for fun and great gas mileage but impractical. Or the small slow beater car for MPG's and practicality without the fun =/

yea gas is killing me.. im doing roughly 350-400 miles a week, so im filling up about every 4-5 days at 60-70 a tank...

I have a Honda del Sol. Fun little car.
I get 30+ mpg, all the time. The only problem is it has a small gas tank, so it's not that long between fill-ups, at least not longer than most other cars.
I also have Volvo S-80 that consistently get 20-23 mpg. Great for such a large car. It has a ginormous gas tank (20 gal. +). I can got over 500 highway miles on a fill up.

i've got a yamaha zuma, 95 mpg.
has 3000 miles on it (1000 of which are my own) and i drive it all summer long. You would be amazed that it takes me the same, if not less time to get to my destination.
in fact i spent last weekend tearing apart the carb and re-jetting it so that its ready to go for the summer..... runs like a top
i drive 15-18 miles every day and i plan on starting to drive the Zuma wednesday
Great little toy, and for very little $ you can up the speed a lot. (i plan on installing a different clutch, new jets, new intake and maybe changing out the gearing- which should put me at about 45 mph top speed)
i really recommend one, (as long as you dont have much pride left). Mine has a stereo system and security system as well. the security is mostly to make people laugh, and the stereo provides great entertainment as well.
