OK, y'all need to stop talking about this. I just had to put my 15 year old dog (I had him 13 years) down on New Years Eve and I cried like a baby.
One of the hardest, most heart breaking things that I've ever done. I know it was the best thing to do, but still......
On a happier note, I just took delivery of my first foster dog on Monday afternoon. He is a chocolate lab and we have been getting to know each other for the past week. We've had a difference of opinion on where the best place to go to the bathroom is (inside or outside...I vote outside), but I think we're finally getting into a rhythm. He's a smart boy and will make someone a great dog. For now he's in my care, and it's my job to fatten him up (he's emaciated) and keep him happy.
