Look, 'gentlemen', this really has nothing to do with new VXers specifically - maybe you two are focusing on the potential new VXers because that is where your empathy lies. Good for you! Kudos and crackers all around! My remarks are aimed at the lack of effort on a large scale... I scaled it down ONCE to address you individually. So let me reiterate once more for you on a large scale... (3rd time may be the charm)...

Perhaps forum search engines do not work so well because lazy, unmotivated, no-help-for-themselves forum users the world over have flooded them with basic and simple questions that have become asinine and redundant and they have since become a bear to sift through. Consider it a failed experiment and grow from it! (I hear clapping out there.) Time to evolve. We know the info is there, come on, so do they. Search terms? Please. Unfamiliar forum? Please. Small or not, VX.info deals with the same demographic as the rest of the internet, like it or not. What the rest of us are saying is that informing people it is time to get accustomed to searching IS our way of helping out new VXers, as well as regular folk, and our childrens' children.

Here is an example for you: I was installing a Sierra DBW accelerator pedal into my Blazer Sunday... BTW, I learned ON MY OWN that DBW stands for 'Drive By Wire' - kind of like slang terms, acronyms. And I didn't have to ask one single person what DBW stood for... YAY ME! Must be from my previous conditioning of figuring things out, 'cause as you know, I am just as stupid as everyone else. Anyway, the pedal does not fit since it came from a full size truck... what to do? To the internet! What does one do on the internet when in need of information - SEARCH!

Oh sure, I could have just gone to LS1tech.com and asked some guru to do the legwork for me and then gone to bed on time, but ya know, I hold myself to a higher standard. Besides, who would I have asked, "Which website should I go to for info?", and which website would I search for to ask that question?

I figured I would either have to order an H3 or Trailblazer pedal assembly to fit in my ride. Well in my search, I discovered I could use a '97-04 Corvette pedal since it has a 24x reluctor and 1x cam sensor motor just like my Sierra stuff. I could perhaps use an SSR, CTS-V, Camaro, Express, and more! There are also 4 PCM types to watch out for! Some pedals sweep fom high voltage to low voltage while others sweep the other direction causing max throttle at start up yet floor it and you idle.

See, I don't like the look of the Vette pedal and the plug does not match my harness either so I naturally went to eBay to search for an H3 pedal anyway... Wow, it seems to have the same potentiometer housing thing as my pedal!!! So I may be able to swap my potentiometer housing onto the pedal assembly of the H3... since I have found no info on this idea, should I ask someone if I can do it? Maybe. Or maybe it is my idea to test out and pass on to someone with enough gumption to search for it or comment on it...? It may even work for a certain VX receiving a 6.0 LS motor...

I was able to find all this info in one location (minus the H3 part) because the OP (original poster) took the time to help himself beforehand and had lots of info to describe his circumstances, problem, and attempts at success - people loaded with info were willing to help him out instead of just saying "SEARCH", ie evolve.

OK, reply if you must but I have explained my stance more than I even cared to and there is nothing more to say so this thread is closed as far as I am concerned; you may rejoice. Good luck in your efforts of enablement. Peace!
