Hello everyone,
I have been looking at buying a vx for almost 6 months now, I have the opportunity to buy a ironman and have a full mint black interior swapped into it.
What do you guys think go for it or keep the red interior (I hate the red personally)
Have you ever seen it done before?
It would make a unique vehicle even more unique right?

I say do whatever makes you happy. If you don't like the red then swap in the black and grey. I, personally, think a grey and black interior in a white VX would look great.....and would probably the only one.

Its your car - the color of the interior really won't affect the value of the VX. This isn't a numbers matching kind of deal. I'd say go with what makes you happy, so if thats the black interior (which I have) then go for it. I personally think that the red interior gives it some.... pzzzaz? Is that enough z's? The black interior can get a little tiring.
Just make sure the Ironman checks out mechanically, thats most important. How do you have a full black interior lying around anyways?

I dont want to shed to much light on how im going to get this done, ive lost two deals on some great vx's. The one im looking at has under 60k though. Im just super scared of the poor oil circulation/consumption.

I too love the gray/black and think it would look great in the Ironman, The word "mint" caught my eye too...so it sounds really great...but it's up to your taste, but you know that!! I think we all love unique, so there's another plus in it's favor.
I do remember somebody else has done the swap... Anybody recall who actually did it??

p.s....Just curious, have you looked over the "VX Questionnaire" we created? We're working on a 2nd version that's like an encyclopedia in length, but it's pretty thorough! It might help you gain some insight into this Ironman's oil consumption risk/use/history, etc..
