The jeep 40 is not even a jeep design. This jeep has been built for a couple years or more by the aftermarket. Companies make the hood and the genders are cut. 2inch lift and 40's. If you do a search on pirate4x you will see a lot on the subject...jeep just stole the idea.

Thanks for the out loud chuckle...

I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.

I'm not much of a Jeep fan either, since I own a classic FJ-40 (a Jeep's #1 arch ememy). Still, the Lower-40 looks kinda' cool, but it needs some sort of "hard-shell" roof (much like the Hummer HX/H4 has). Convertibles (like soft-top Jeeps) can't be "buttoned-up" for long term parking while at a ball game or movie, and are prime targets for vandals and car prowlers with a knife.

    I know there isn't a suspension lift- maybe a 2" body lift

Its a really good idea for those who own jeeps and want 40's. Why spend $$$$$ on a 6-8" suspension lift and make your vehicle super top heavy when you can just do some body modifications, keep a low center of gravity and have the option of adding a little suspension lift for articulation.

I think they should remake it as the "lower 37," it would look way better and be feasible for daily driving
