    Trooper in older movie

So I watched an older Jack Nicolson flick on tv today, and the only redeeming thing was that Jack drove a Trooper.

My favorite scene was when a cattle drive had blocked the road, Jack started wheelin' cross-country. When he goes off-road, he doesn't mess around with dirt roads. Driving through fields and several barbed-wire fences (must have had the run-flats). His truck had a full brush bar including several tubes covering the headlights. Midway through this jaunt, the brush bar disappeared and after a few seconds it re-appeared. I had to rewind it to see if I was seeing things. The front of the vehicle was full-frame on the screen; I don't know how the editors could have missed it. Though this was my second time watching the movie, and I didn't see it the first time; but I wasn't an Isuzu enthusiast at the time.

So dust off your VHS copies and take a look for yourselves.

Ohhhhh man it's late and I'm tired! Reading this post on the phone,
I read " is the name of this post, like the name of movie"

I missed the first question mark.... Cracked myself up thinking about the trailer announcer saying " don't miss jack Nicholson in his greatest role yet in TROOPER IN OLDER MOVIE, in theaters near you"

Lol, I know, I've been wrenching too long tonight!

Sorry. If I had known you were going to read that, I would have used a larger font.

Into the Wild is VERY good. Beautiful, amazing scenery! It's based on a true story (I have some good links to share if you want to read them after you see the movie (spoilers!))

I checked over at the Planet and they talked about this movie earlier this year-

Here's a funky clip of the Trooper from the movie-

This is another vid where the Trooper is seen a bunch near the end-

Here's the official trailer for The Pledge-

Sean sure has a good eye. He should direct a lot more films.

If you haven't seen this movie, get it! And pick up all of the Sean Penn directed flicks. The Crossing Guard will linger in your mind for weeks.

After watching "Into the Wild" I went looking for that place where that bus was supposed to have been with google maps' satellite view. It's been a few years now but I was pretty sure there was enough information in the movie to get within a mile or two of the location.

Sorry that I forgot to post the movie name, but you're all correct, it is "the Pledge".

    Interesting:

I was thinking as I typed that - I hear everything YOU type in Walter's voice.
