I was hoping to get carpet with matching front mats

Seems that the practicality you liked for your Home Depot run would be ill-served by a carpet "mat" - as janodes indicates above it will likely be expensive and wear out fairly quickly depending on how often you use it for cargo.

Most all-weather mat companies offer matching mats for the cargo, rear seat, and front seat areas. The Hexomat material that I mentioned earlier can also be purchased for the front seats so everything would match front to back.

Just my $.02.

I have many projects going for my VX at present and when and if I ever do this I post pix.

That's the truth if I ever heard it.
