    VX versus Trooper RS

Well, the trooper, although the same wheel base, is MUCH bigger
VX-67" tall, RS-73" tall this makes HUGE difference when you are inside
RS has 2 feet less turning radius(probably due to the fact it has a 4" narrower front axle width)
curb weight-within a hundred pounds of each other
    RS-4.55 gears
    VX-4.33
The VX is a little wider (wide stance upgrade in 95 and later troopers)
Trooper has almost 800lbs more payload capacity. This is probably due to the heavier springs in the RS vs the VX.
Trunk cargo area (seats in sitting position)
    VX-13.9cu feet
    RS-30.5 cu feet
This is ironic, the VX has very spacious rear seating, but no way to get back there, the RS has mediocre rear seating, but the front seat is compound folding on the passenger side, meaning it moves twice to slide forward, once along the length of the track, and then another three inches or so on the pivot for the actual seat, bringing it up and forward, very easy to get back there.
The RS also has a nice "oh ****" handle built into the center console.

Overall, they are both nice little trail trucks. I wouldn't trade em for the world...well, maybe a D90.

I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.

VX= 4.30 not 4.33 gears FYI and 4.56 gears for the RS. Looking good for both of them though Chris

Sorry, all I could see in the pics were:

    VS.

    So who wins?

    Sorry, couldn't resist

hahaha the brick would lay Pikachu right out. His electricity couldn't do crap to the brick. He would fire a thunderbolt and then get a stupid look on his face like "WTF" and then get hit square in the face.

There is the reason for that much-treasured headroom I value, and the reason I won't even consider a VX.

RS has 2 feet less turning radius(probably due to the fact it has a 4" narrower front axle width)
The track width difference between 92-94 and 95+ Troopers is about 2"...probably the same for the VX unless the wheels have less backspacing
95 Trooper with a buncha stuff nobody here cares about...

You know the headroom does not bother me that much. But I have never sat in a trooper yet either.

I am somewhat uniquely challenged in the headroom department [insert joke here]...I am 6'3" and long torso, so I am not comfortable in many vehicles that the majority are fine with.

It really is a huge difference, makes it feel like a full sized SUV

I was figuring 4" since the lower ball joints on the wide stance are a few inches longer than the ones on the RS

Red Isuzu logo really helps the Herculiner look btw, good pick.
Nope, no cutting, not even a plastic trim for the 33s, and I could see squeexing 35s with minimal trimming, a helluva lot more room under the RS fenders, as for the red zu emblem, good idea on your behalf, and I think it looks great like that. I did screw up the decal, it has a few wrinkles. I need to get a new one and do it again...

Hence the single far away photo I guess? Where did you get the decal? Must be aftermarket I guess? Can't imagine anything OEM being that big...

Yep, got it from some website, it came with lettering as well, 10" isuzu emblem and 2 inch lettering, can be seen on the RS drivers rear window

Hmmm, might give it a few weeks and it may even out to an acceptable level (especially if it has a chance to sit out in the sun.)
