Had something very similar happen to an old minivan. It was previously owned in both Ohio and Pennsylvania and spent most of its 12 years outside, so I wasn't too surprised when I started it one day and started smelling gas. Engine was idling really rough so I walked around the front of the vehicle to pop the hood when I saw that there was a fine mist of gasoline coming out of the front grill! As everyone else has suggested, the fuel line had finally cracked from all those years of corrosion.
In my case I called the junkyard and had them tow it away for $70. But of course that's because in excellent condition at a dealership it was worth $700 (I think PP in realistic condition was $150 lol). Good luck Anita!
Hey, the VX is worth about 19-23K as long as its an Ironman edition...
I hope its nothing major, now I have to go check on mine...thanks for making me paranoid.
I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.
