Mine has almost 170000 so its about due judging from what other people have posted as far as when they had tranny problems. I never did a filter swap. Im not sure if ever but it looks like someone did at one time by the gasket stuff down there.
Ive thought about doing a filter swap and new fluids again plus the lucas too.
Im just thinking that with a 170000 miles , filter or not it prob need to be rebuilt.
What I should have said in my first post was I topped off the Transfer case.


Thanks for the links... That rebuild looks like one I read but maybe some one pasted it to another board. I didnt see the pics like in the other I had seen. But all in all it didnt look to bad and for those prices I can get tires and a lift and something else too if I do the rebuild myself..
Look at most guys who do transmissions. Their no smarter than most of us maybe Im even a little smarter than some of them. If they can do a rebuild I had better be able to also. 2400$ to 250$ I like saving that kind 'O' cash.
