I am here...so honk if you see me on the streets. See you all tomorrow. I have already found the meeting place...its right down the road from the finish line.

Myself, Hot Wasabi, Circ, and Chas had a nice lunch meet. Was nice to meet all of you and talk a bit of VX shop. For those that weren't there I was going to post up some pics but I didn't get any since I left my camera in the hotel. Hopefully the others will post there's soon. Off to bed now...I've sort of got this little race to do in the morning.
Hmm... I was very honored to have been included in with this respected group of forum members considering I was not able to show up. I am now wondering if either I did show up and was too hung over to remember or if an imposter claiming to be the infamous Hot_Wasabi_ Junkie went in my behalf.. Either option is way too troubling to think about...
Unfortunately I was only able to get one picture that came out decent.

Sorry guys... I got distracted with all our story telling that I didn't take anymore pics!
It was great to finally meet all of you!

Oops...sorry! That was Jim...my memory thoroughly sucks!
Well worth the hour and a half drive each way. I enjoyed meeting everybody and the food was great even if our server stopped refilling our drinks long before we cleared out.

Made it home tonight in one piece!
Spent yesterday afternoon walking the Vegas strip and taking pics...you know, the typical tourist stuff (man those guys trying to hand you crap at every corner are annoying...really wanted to punch them after the first dozen or so). On the way back today took a dam tour of the dam! Found out they give military (active and former) a big discount...was a nice surprise. Of course that was after the national security agency made me return my weapon to my vehicle...damn those 2 inch swiss army knives (forgot I even had it)Apparently they didn't want me to "McGyver" the dam into rubble.
While there of course I had that little race to do...went nearly as well as I wanted it to. Mother nature decided that the hardest North American Ironman distance race wasn't hard enough and threw a little wind in our faces (of course the crack smoking weather man gauranteed 5 mph winds...I think he missed the "0" at the end on his cue card)! But I survived and have the t-shirt to prove it!Threw down an 11:48 which was good enough for 18th overall and 3rd in my agegroup!
Thanks again for the lunch date! It was nice to meet, chat, eat and put some more faces to the screen names!![]()
