Don't get me started on that. In my neighborhood, this one family has a bunch of kids and they have taken it upon themselves to put out their own orange cones allovertheplace and "Slow, Children At Play" signs. Personally, I find it annoying and I want to run over the cones and all the signs right in front of them, albeit slowly.Lucky for them, it is one street over and I never drive over there.
When I was a kid, I rode my bike EVERYWHERE. No helmet, no pads. My mom told me to STAY OUT OF THE STREET and when crossing, LOOK BOTH WAYS FIRST. I understand, its a neighborhood side street, and you have to be careful and drive slow, but we all have back yards here. Make your kids play there, or take them to the park or whatever. The pavement is FOR CARS. The street is NOT a playground. Teach your kids to stay out of the way of moving metal boxes. Its common sense!!
Sorry for the rant.

Amen to that. Same when I was a kid. Yesterday I was riding my motorcycle home and there were kids with a bike ramp set up dead center in the middle of a side street. Not only were they riding around without a care in the world but the ramp was a faded black which blended into the asphalt all too well. Even if you missed the kids, your car would get trashed if you hit that.
The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable man persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on me.
