Bobcat or anything else with ROPS is too tall - unless I rip out the low-hanging duct work. I find it hard to believe a Dingo has enough power for the rock-hard dirt though...

Don't underestimate the Dingo. It's small but weighs approximately a ton. If it can't dig it out, it'll certainly scrape it's way down as deep as you need to go. Of course it'll help with a little moisture content to the soil (but not muddy).
