    Hello

Just wanted to stop by and say hello. I have been a long time admirer of the greatness that is Vehicross. Finally I was able to pick up a silver 1999 model. I am in the Dallas area and look forward to getting together with the local contingent. Also just 1 question, the Vehicross I bought has several little issues I would like looked at. Who would be the foremost expert to work on them in this area? The check engine light is on, ABS light is on, Blows fuse for dash lights and tail lights the moment you put it in, windows on both sides messed up(I tried the lithium grease to no avail), and just want all the diff and tranny fluid and filters changed. Anyway look forward to meeting all of you and getting into the club.
    Thanks
    Brian

Not sure who is the best there but DO NOT go to the local Isuzu dealer downtown. They are not qualified and refused to do warranty work for warranty reimbursement. One of the local branch of which there are a few should be able to help you on who is good.

Welcome and congrats. Sounds like you have yourself a little work ahead. Lucky for you, none of it sounds like anything new. Should be able to find all of your solutions here and there are plenty of folks in TX on board that should be able to assist.

Welcome to the addiction. Window's if it is the typical tilting issue is a easy fix with SBC's (He's a member) new brackets. For CEL, stop by a auto parts store and have them plug in their scanner to the OBDII plug located by the hood release, that will give you a clue. ABS, well, welcome to the club. There are many members in the DFW area to help out

When will another Dallas meet be scheduled? How about sometime in the month of August?

I can probably help you with the blowing fuse + no tail + dash lights. Check the wiring harness in the engine compartment directly behind and below your driver side headlight. Rubbing against a metal bracket over time caused wires to fray and ground out, blowing fuses.

ABS light could mean a number of things.. ABS hydraulic module, sensors, or both for starts. But my question would be do you really need to fix it. MANY of us have never fixed our ABS.. some have even pulled the fuse for it. IMHO, you can brake faster with more control without it.

Take your VX to an autozone and have them get the codes. This will give you the information to diagnose the check engine light and perhaps the abs.
    Doesnt cost much to do.

The fix for the windows (the most viable one) is listed by rowhard.

What?! No love for the bungee cord fix?

For fifty cents your windows will jump up like they were new. And you never have to lube!
