Sorry, but if your 3000GT was a POS, that means that the previous owner was a tool-bag. As long as you do the Mx on them regularly, they're VERY reliable. In that respect, they're like a VX. If you find one ragged to hell and expect to work wonders--you've got a constant uphill battle.
1988 Ford Escort 4-door. Rusted out POS that still got 30MPG. Sold to my dad, totaled by an idiot teenager in a hit & run.
1995 Mitsubishi GTO. My 1st Japanese Halo car--still ragged on by everyone who has never owned one. Turbo 6-cylinder AWD hatchback--how many other models with those specs even exist? 200,000 miles and counting. Awaiting a 3.5L twin 16G build, expecting 600AWHP on pump gas & mild boost.
1994 Kia Sephia. I'd still be driving this instead of a VX if it wasn't eurospec & I could have imported it. I got it as a 1 owner car with 30,000 miles on it--for $2,000. Still waiting on a buyer in Deutschland.
1999 Isuzu Vehicross. My 2nd Japanese Halo car. Kinda wish I'd found a Proton like Ganzman's. I had so many deals fall through & dealerships not wanting to wiggle on price--so I jumped on this one with both feet (with Jo's help). Wife is already ready to string me up for buying it, then dropping a lot more on getting to tip-top mechanical shape. Will be my new DD when I get to SLC. Only mods will be purely cosmetic; no mechanical alterations. I plan to run this into the ground.
