Thanks! We certainly brought a bunch of stuff with us but we had two people on the bike rather than just oneI envy Lois for being able to take such a light bike which handles a lot better in the rough stuff.
We've met Lois a couple of times as well while she was on her book tour for Red Tape White Knuckles (London to Cape Town) she's a really awesome woman.
We had plans to head down to Ushuaia (southern most city in South America) but ended up living for an extra 6 months in Central America instead. Get vehicles across the Darien Gap is rather expensive so when we decide to do it we plan to fly into Buenos Aires and buy a vehicle down there, hit Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, Brazil, Bolivia, and Argentina before selling it and flying back.

Reminds me of "Lois on the loose" by Lois Pryce. Saw her speak at the 1st Overland Expo in '98 or '99. She gave a speech and slide show on her trans-continental expedition on motorcycle. She did the Americas -Alaska to the tip of South America-, and also did trans-Africa.
I envy Lois for being able to take such a light bike which handles a lot better in the rough stuff.
