Yeah, we haven't even tried to add the extra slim donut yet. It only has a tiny amount of play, maybe 1/4".
As is, it's absolutely no hassle to take on/off. Just unlock the hitch pin and it's off, that's it.

I got an email from Jeff. JAMAS, KAT & I are famous:

This was an interesting pic of one that took a hit (from the same site):

Put a smiley after you say that Bub.
the longer we've had them, the more we like them. I've got 4 of these suckers now....two 18" and the new 24s....
Thinkin' of sacrificing one of the 18s as a "trail only" rear rock slider.....
Still can't decide if it'll catch on more things (because it sticks out), or protect more (because it stick out)?? What say you Mr. Engineer?...or anybody???
If it does catch, think the upward pressure would damage the hitch since it's designed to have horizontal forces, not vertical forces?![]()
I'm thinkin it's a good idea that shouldn't be done.
Good idea = any hiney protection is a good thing.
Shouldn't be done = not sure of the vertical strength of the receiver like you said & because it may grab an obstacle rather than slide over it (sorta like my Calmini crossmember).
Thanks Tom. Here's my Plan B idea. I bought this too. What think you?

Not much better.
It would've been much better if they had added a horizontal piece across the bottom. I'm still thinking it'll grab an obstacle rather than slide over it.
Just my $.02
let's face it, I just need a complete exo.......except my new sliders will at least have that part covered
