Found this today, did you see this before you started the Gen 2 bumper? Looks like you guys were on the same page, but why would this guy cut that much cladding and not put some sort of bumper there? Seems like he wouldn't need to cut that much just to fit bigger tires.Originally Posted by Marlin

Just a follow up on this since its been quite a while.
The bumper is fine. As a matter of fact, its been on 5 wheeling trips since I built it. I had some approaches so tall/steep that I ripped the LED driving lights off of one side...lol. The bumper held just fine. Front rail caps have seen better days though.
I have since done other mods, so this kind of sat around. The trooper RS has been getting lots of love, and I am sure the VX is jealous. Her time is coming around again, new wheel bearings, new cb antenna, some TLC maintenance.
