HID conversions- Hella driving lights

fyi- 55w HID is equivalent to 250w of halogen power... so i would guess that they are much hotter...

I'd guess the opposite, sort of. HID bulbs turn electricity into light and give off some heat. Incandescent bulbs turn electricity into heat and give off some light.

My friend did this on his Jeep and he said the difference is INSANE. I am eventually going to do the conversion on my Hella Rallye 4000s.

My son's Ironmam has a HID kit that was installed by the previous owner headlights and fog lights 6000K and has no problems with heat or melting They look really nice want to do it to mine
