I’ve had both a DEI and an AutoPage on my VX with remote start and no problems. Correct wire does need to be tapped but an experienced installer should not have a problem with it. There are many others with various makes of alarms that are also working fine.

I would discourage self install of alarms unless you are WAY familiar with not only the specific vehicle but the whole electrical/data system of modern vehicles. Ask to watch at a shop doing an alarm for someone else before you even consider it (it’s like making sausage - you prob. don’t want to see what goes on). In any case, be sure to hide the alarm brain as far up in the dash as possible to make disabling it that much more difficult.
