Hey, I think I have one of those buried somewhere in my garage. I intended to install it on a car about 5 vehicles back, but never got around to it.
Installing yours in the cargo area is a good idea. Unlike being mounted out of sight under the hood, you will never accidentally leave it on because you can see it from the interior.
