No more hazy headlights...quick and easy.

Two thumbs up for Meguiars Headlight Restoration Kit. My head lights were probably among the worst. They were heavily hazed to a point that they were greatly reducing my field of vision at night. Tonight I bought the Meguiars kit ($25). The kit contains a buffer to be used with your drill, the polishing cream and a microfiber rag. It took me all of 30 minutes to go from this...

Yes Meguiars works good (I used there PlastX clear plastic cleaner & polish) along with the 5 minute restorer buff system for the last few years but of course the haze always come back unless you seal it. My next step is wet sand w/1000 grit and clearcoat and hopefully I won't have to do the once every 3 month buff-up

I use FLITZ, it is a cream in a tube. use it like polish with a rag, works fast and easy. results are about 80% . works excellent of chrome rims as well.

One of our members, I think it was Rowhard, had his covered with the same type materials as a "clear bra" and it has worked well for him.

Looks great! As far as sealant/protectant is concerned, watch eBay for the occasional clear headlight protectors that appear to be the same material as 3M's clear bra solution. I think they run like $85 a pair but are custom fitted for the VX headlights.

I used the same product (meguiars) and in the texan sun, it took just under two weeks to come back to a noticable haze. And its still spring!!

Clear bra you say... wonder if the wife would go for it =P

You know, my seals around the headlights look like *** too. Anyone have any luck replacing these?

Just replaced mine about two weeks ago.

I posted a "how to" and it should help you.

You have to remove the front cladding and grill to get the headlights out.

I used the OEM seals.

It takes a solid hour to do it right and follow their step-by-step instructions. Definitely worth it though.

I just use Meguiars Plast-x and my high speed polisher with a soft foam pad. Done in maybe 15 minutes including taping them off. Then again, I have a lot of practice with a polisher so I can do it with minimal risk. High speed polishers can quickly do more harm than good in inexperienced hands.
