Well, those are the same corrupt KGB officers similar to the ones who were running the the country during 70-s and 80-s (before the soviet collapse).. Russia now is more corrupt and dependent on oil then ever...
but since Russians are not accustomed to democratic friedoms and do not care much about being deprived of them, until oil is above $50, KGB guys will continue to stay in power...
