I am having a hell of a time getting the sensor on driver side in front of cat loose. For those of you that have removed them before what did you use to break it free.....?
Thanks in advance.

Some good penetrating oil as the threads are probably crystallized from the heat and moisture over time. Sometimes when it is hot, it can free. Remember to put "anti-seize" on the new threads.

PB Blaster 24 hrs in advance FTW. I wouldn't attempt to drive it in that time....![]()

I tried wd 40 then drove it for a couple of minutes to warm it up and it is still not coming loose. The wd 40 cooked and it smelled smoky for a good while. I couldnt find my pb.
Are you using an O2 sensor removal tool? I tried a few different methods before I finally got the sensors out of there to weld up my down tube. First I sprayed the bungs a few days in advance, then the day before work began, then right before I started wrenching on it. I'm not sure any of that really helped tho. You might want to rent a removal tool from Auto Zone or somewhere so you don't round off the hex. Other than that, I increasingly applied pressure steadily for several seconds at a time until it finally budged. Good luck!

Tons of PB blaster, heat, and pounding on a 3/4" breaker bar with a 5 lb. hammer. I tried the 1/2" bar but it brokeThe special o2 sensor attachment is a must have too, I rounded off my passenger side sensor pretty good until I found one of those. Also, if the sensor is bad anyways, try hitting the area where it threads into with a punch, it may help jar loose some of the nasty corroded gunk that's locking it in. Welcome to one of the least fun things to do to a Vehicross.

GOT IT OUT AND REPLACED! No CEL now.
I ended up trying to squeeze the o2 socket in there and it did just fine. Reinstalling was harder just to make sure it didnt cross thread.
