Any one know how to remove the clear film on stock 99 16 inch rims. I want to polish them up again but they seem to have a clear coat on them. Thanks in advance.

Don't know for sure but you may need to have them media blasted.

When I did this on my '82 Mustang TRX wheels I used a mild paint stripper. It's a pain to keep them polished now, but they look great after a fresh polishing.

Get them media blasted clean, it will leave you a perfect finish!! Make sure the contractors use either glass bead or plastic media on alloys or you'll end up with a pitted surface. My dad has a blasting company, i know were in the UK but you may finsd something helpful on his website. www.blast-cleaning.co.uk
