Yeah, that was a couple years ago and I just remembered I flipped the pin photo so it would jive with the connector diagram.

I shouda flipped the diagram and not the photo. The original diagram is when you're looking at the connector, not the module.

I changed it in the how-to so as not to confuse anyone.

Cool, is there anything else you have to do besides bend the pin down and plug it back in (that's really hard by the way.... you have to pull out a slide from the right side as you unplug it and push the slide back in AS you plug it back in I found out; someone could have mentioned that!!!). Mine is still on!

As long as you bend the proper pin and push the slide as you plug it back in, the light should stay out. If the wrong pin is bent, straighten it out. There must be a system that turns on the light if the connector is unplugged to warn you about that. If any other pins are bent in addition to #16 it may signal a connector issue and keep the light on. Even with the #16 pin bent, the plug must be seated firmly with the slide pushed back in or the light will stay on.

The bent pin alone will not disable the ABS. It just simply keeps the light off. An intermittent ABS problem could still trigger the ABS unexpectedly. Removing the ABS fuse will disable the ABS entirely. Removing the fuse alone will disable the ABS, but keep the light on. Bending the #16 pin, plugging the connector in properly, and removing the ABS fuse will mean no ABS and no ABS light forever. Enjoy.
