Very impractical mounted in that location!!! With the lights mounted high on top of the roof they will totally "fill-in" any deep potholes with solid light, thereby blending the potholes with the rest of the road surface. You won't notice any potholes until you actually hit them with your VX (way too late). All off-road driving lights are best mounted at bumper level, so they cast a "dark shadow" over impending potholes so you can avoid hitting them in advance.
Further; I bet your MPG is gonna' really suck with those big "wind-catcher" lights mounted up high like that (very poor aerodynamics), plus they just look like crap way up there.
A much better idea would be to get the Westin License Plate "Longhorn Bull" Light Bracket (just do a "search"), and mount the off-road lights near license plate level (better light dispersion, better aerodynamics, better "look", and easier installation for wiring).![]()
