My Hood Insert is most definitely a shade of gray.
Got out my Pantone Color Book (standardized ink colors for printing)
It's a close match to PANTONE 433 C Pantone Color Chart
Photo taken under fluorescent lighting, might be different under direct sunlight.

Yep, you could get anything from carbon fibre effect to a photo of your own face, lol!!! Theres quite a rew wrap companies in London. The craze it the moment is to get a full car wrap in matt black and I’ve been severely holding my self back from a matt olive green (military) full VX wrap !!!

I usta have an OD truck. It was Orange Drab. It started out pretty sharp but faded to look like a VDOT truck.

I never saw an insert in 'showroom' condition. I know mine was grey until I had it LineX'd.

BTW, the guy here sells CF applique sheets big enough to cover the insert.

I will leave the cladding black. I think it will look good. My clear coat is actually peeling now.

I posted a while back about doing just that with a twist. From a distance it appears to be winter camo...up close it is actually skulls. I saw it on a rock buggy.
