Oh yeah, also... on the same trail as where that pic came from, 4 people riding in a rented Jeep started driving toward us, driving over sage brush, cactus, breaking crust, and damaging that delicate eco soil stuff. They were from Germany and they stopped to ask us how to get back to civilization. They learned a few new American words that day from us! They said they didn't know anything about what they were doing... My point is, education is what is missing here, not closures! People need to be made aware of the issues to prevent them. Off my soapbax... thanks for sharing maverick!

Thanks for the article. Sounds like all the Utah lawmakers are against the bill. I like the fact that they realize that the bill is one sided and has no imput from no one but the enviromentalists.

No problem. And agreed, I like how they are telling the other states people to back the f off. However, I would hope the local lawmakers would take steps to keep this from happening every 5 years or whatever it is. If we realize people need to be educated then the law makers should start programs that protect the land from serious mis-use. Jeep rental companies should inform their patrons about trail use in Moab. Other areas of concern could be patrolled or something. I don't know. I should better educate myself in all this kind of stuff to do my part more effectively. Todd Adams probably had his fingers in all this... he would be a good adviser.

Step one, fix the gas leak!
