    Curt Tow Hitch

I'm looking for trailer hitches and found Curt Manufacturing. They have several type and classes. Is Class 3 an over-kill for the VX?

I bought the class 3. It didn't come with a ball though. I'm installing it today.

    have fun a few warnings

remove part of the cladding to get the 4 bolts you need to remove the tow hooks. (3 on one side one on the other) Use a breaker bar to get more torque the tow hook bolts really stick, You will only need to re-use 2 of the tow hook bolts so test them in the holes and find which screw in the best, Let me know how you thread in the 4 bolts from curt I can not figure how to access the frame.

No need to remove cladding ~ frame is open at end ~ use wire to pull bolts through holes ~ just run wire through hole and out frame, attach bolt to wire (duct tape!), pull back through hole. They give you carriage bolts if I recall so don't need an impact wrench ~ hand crank will do ~ no probs with spinning. Loctite is your friend. Took me about 45 minutes ~ 15 minutes of removing brackets, fishing, torquing bolts ~ and 30 minutes to drill four holes! Hope you have a sharp drill bit ~ that frame is stout!

I'd say Class 3 should be the ONLY class... anything less would worry me too much.
It's like driving stick verses auto. If you can drive stick, you can drive an auto... but you can't necessarily drive a stick if you only drive auto.

Better to have more capacity than less, when needed.

    Wow. I made that complicated.
