sure glad i dont wheel with the likes of you arizonans often.
up here we start our trails at 12-noon (why else spend hundreds of dollars on offroad lights)
I have no off road lights...winter days are short, trail is loooooooonnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggggg, and its much easier to set up camp when there is light. Plus I get cranky when I get hungry and I plan on grilling some nice steaks!

see, thats why you need young strappin guys like me around with rediculous amounts of lights on their car.
thats why you set up camp in the morning before you go wheeling... sheesh...

that way you light up the grill when you get back and cook up some delicious steaks or whatever floats your boat.

6 of 1... half a dozen of the other i suppose....

although your way is probably safer (to wheel during the day)

Ah, everyones invited...fill up the tank and hit the road! To set up camp first, I would first have to drive 3 hours from Tucson to the camp site, set up camp them drive the 3 hours back to Tucson so that I could drive the hour and a half the other direction to get to where the trail starts...not so practical! Us strapin old guys got the wisdom!

hmm... good point. either wisdom or stupidity for not picking a trail that ends near where it starts so you can set up camp early (i guess thats the eagle scout in me, set up camp before the fun starts)
