sooooo guy about the price of springs and shocks...... how much for springs, i seem them for like 70 to 80 i'm guessin that's each and the shocks are 95 and i'm guessin that's each. and the spacers are 100 for the pair. so that puts me at about 650ish and the kit is 720 and it adds the shock boots, extended brake lines and bump stops and some other odds and ends

    viper,

I can't say how much was spent on my lift since it was done by the previous owner. I do know that he used the Calmini kit which is $$$ but then turned around and removed all of the kit from the front & just did the torsion bar crank. It sounds like you've pretty much made up your mind to go with the kit. Go with your gut feeling & enjoy the results.

On the diff drop issue & 'eating' CV boots. Some get away with it - some don't. I went through 3 sets of boots in 1 year (& toasted the CVs once), LittleBeast was just as bad, Bart's been lucky & hasn't had any problems. Do your lift & wait to see if you need the drops. There are still pix in my gallery of the ones I had done.

    Dub,

I didn't notice any significant loss in ground clearance with the diff drop. Technically speaking, you're right. In reality, the pumpkin doesn't hang down any more than any number of things down there (crossmembers, oil pans, ...). My dropped Calmini crossmember may be a problem for me if I make it to Moab 2010.

    Peanut Butter,

Yes, guilty of TJ but ... it was still within the general scope of the thread & since viper is a newbie, he needs to be educated on what offset from hell looks like. I was really just tempting him to go look in my gallery for a look that is slightly more radical than what he's currently entertaining.

    Prices?
For the springs the cheapest will be Rocky Road...he doesn't always keep them in stock so it may take a little longer to get them. If you want them fast...Indy 4x
As for shocks and spacers...search the web and ebay for best price. For speed and in stock...Indy 4x
Indy 4x also will give you GREAT customer service, assistance and advice. His kits are thoroughly put together and usually come with everything needed (except tools). You can call Matt with any problems and he is always eager to help you resolve it.

If you need spacers try these instead, they work the same as those $90 1in. Indys.
    I tested them here

    Daystar KC09103BK
This Daystar spacer works well as a 1in. spacer on the OME Springs.
