I'll hold off on the diff drop at first and buy some CV boots to start with then see how it goes from there. any suggestions on the boots?

Are your CV boots already torn? You don't really need to buy any unless you just want to have them on-hand, which isn't a bad idea.

The popular replacement kit for torn Isuzu CVs is the Mecatech CV boot kit.
