The impeller install was much easier than I anticipated. I did have to go out and get a MONSTER allen wrench. The old impeller was chewed up real bad (couldn't even pull a float anymore). The wear ring had slight damage so I'll probably replace that next summer but that is MUCH more involved & I'll probably have to take it to the shop for that.
The new impeller was supposed to be OEM but it looks significantly different than the original. When I took it for a spin I noticed that I did recover the low end power but not the top speed (that may be the wear ring tho).
