On the flip side; it looks like the under carriage got a nice wash down.(just trying to find the positive)
Glad you're OK, and I'm sure your baby will be back up and running in no time.

ahh yes.. i'm fine.. that's all the good news i have...
i've tried to repost here 3 times now but it won't work on my iphone.. stupid thing
so my vx is in the shop... i Think the adjuster looked at it because i don't think the mechanic can touch it till they see it and the parts are already removed from the front... i'll find out later today
news is worse now though... three days after my accident my sister decides to rear end a brand new tacoma on her way home... the Ram is in my name, under my insurance and she isn't on the policy. she's fine and insurance called me to see if i gave her permission to drive it... i said yes of course
so it looks like a total loss and according to my buddy the insurance adjuster wants to call the bee a loss..... NOOOOOO!!!!!
i hate this week

There is no way that should be a total loss. Most of the front end damage is cosmetic. I had no problems when I rear ended a guy a few years back ($5000 in damage to my VX...he ran). The front end parts are still available out there (mine needed radiator, fan, front skid plate, cladding, bumper bar, various supports and some random straightening of a few things). I am sure you had some damage underneath also. Do you know what all was/appeared to be damaged? Most of the parts under there are probably shared by the Trooper. Try to get a list of damages from the shop.
Most insurance companies will try to cut there losses and total it since most people will just say okay and move on. If you put up a little fight they may change their way...remember, VX's are a limited production vehicle and are becoming even more limited! Keep on fighting!

Or you can let them total it - buy it back - fix it yourself.
