I think you have the exactly issue as i had.
Mines used to tilt exactly at the side mirrors,what i did was pulling out the weatherstrip,then widen the track on both sides all the way above the mirrors.I also get ride of some of the spongy black foam within the weatherstrip.
I noticed that the mirrors mounts somehow "bites" the windows on their way up & after what i did the windows never tilted again & goes up/down smoothly
