There are more pics on the last page of Bantan's gallery.
Thanx, Ldub for the picture. Now, we can see what it looks like on the VX. The "longhorn light bar" is also available in BLACK; which may look much better against the blackish-colored cladding, and won't look so obnoxious like the silver/chrome version does. Just a thought.

Still, I do find the "longhorn light bar" a very quick and simple method of mounting auxilary lights without drilling holes into the VX. It is definately worthy of some further consideration for anyone seeking light attachment points.

that light bar actually might look alright in the black... The only thing i am not a fan of is how it starts to come off the body of the VX bumper since it was designed to fit a flat bumper on a jeep. If i find one fairly cheap online i might get it and see about cutting the ends to where they are still flush with the body....

There's a VX for sale in the UK that has the light bar you want (like Crotch's)- I think it's the one. Maybe you could sweet talk (read- offer money, lots of money) into selling it separate from the VX.

Yeah I could but i am now think i am going to be making a few trips to the neighborhood home depot and looking at materials to make my own light bar... i figure i can do it for a lot cheaper than 52 bucks ($40 plus 12 shipping on ebay).... I am going to be follwoing the license plate design where it will bolt right up with no additional drilling and go from there... I am at work playing around with CAD and designing what i want it to look like ... plus it will give me something to do this week after work. And who knows it could make for a good write up for the board

plus i just am not to keen on the length of the "wings" of the light bar... i want them shorter like on the JDM how close the are to the fang width

I work at an areospace company and on my recent project we are scrapping some really expensive inconel tubes... I may have to ask my boss if i can take one home they would be a sweet light bar, plus the are REALLY strong... he prob wouldnt care considaring we will get prob 5 cents for each tube.... its rediculous how much money is wasted on scrapped parts!

Yes, the "longhorn light bar" would probably look best in BLACK on the VX. The auxilary light mounting holes do stick-out a bit from the VX front bumper cladding; but that's a good thing, because most large auxilary lights have a deep-dish rear light housing that will need a large amount of rear clearance in order to fit without touching the front cladding. If the bracket fits totally flush like on Jeeps, then only slim-style lights with shallow housing bodies will fit.

Another possible mounting option to do is to invert the longhorn light bar "upside down" where it looks like the frito-bandito mustache, and mount the auxilary lights on the top of each lip of the mustache dead-even parallel with the license plate. Now, that might even look the best of all.
