That was a factory option on the JDM VX's. Unfortunately they are very hard to come by now. Only way I know of to get one is to find an owner that has one that wants to sale it. It mounts to the front license plate mounts.

I saw an advertisement on another 4x4 site for license plate mounted aux lights. I'll dig around and see if I can find it again...

I know the one your talking about...not the same. Doesn't look as "factory". As a matter of fact to me it looks like those big cow horns that those Texas oil barrons put on their Caddy's.

hahahahahahah Took me two bloody hours and there was more mud on me and the pressure washer than the floor, lol

What a nightmare clay is to get off!!!!! Didnt bother to sponge it yet, just got the mud off as it was 9pm and i was ready for a can of stella!!!

Yep, its the JDM sporlight bar, couldnt be difficult to make although you'd need a mould for the bracket covers at each end !

Here's the specific thread you're looking for; do a forum "search" for: "Spotlight Bar"

The other option for mounting auxilary lights on the VX front-end, is to use a "Westin Bull-Bar Bumper" that was previously sold by TONE (R.I.P.). However; since the passing of TONE, we're all now kinda' left drifting aimlessly. Take a look at the Photo Gallery of "VX KAT".

Thanx, Ldub for the picture. Now, we can see what it looks like on the VX. The "longhorn light bar" is also available in BLACK; which may look much better against the blackish-colored cladding, and won't look so obnoxious like the silver/chrome version does. Just a thought.

Still, I do find the "longhorn light bar" a very quick and simple method of mounting auxilary lights without drilling holes into the VX. It is definately worthy of some further consideration for anyone seeking light attachment points.

that light bar actually might look alright in the black... The only thing i am not a fan of is how it starts to come off the body of the VX bumper since it was designed to fit a flat bumper on a jeep. If i find one fairly cheap online i might get it and see about cutting the ends to where they are still flush with the body....

Yes, the "longhorn light bar" would probably look best in BLACK on the VX. The auxilary light mounting holes do stick-out a bit from the VX front bumper cladding; but that's a good thing, because most large auxilary lights have a deep-dish rear light housing that will need a large amount of rear clearance in order to fit without touching the front cladding. If the bracket fits totally flush like on Jeeps, then only slim-style lights with shallow housing bodies will fit.

Another possible mounting option to do is to invert the longhorn light bar "upside down" where it looks like the frito-bandito mustache, and mount the auxilary lights on the top of each lip of the mustache dead-even parallel with the license plate. Now, that might even look the best of all.
